Tips On Growing French Tarragon In The Garden
04/10/2007
French tarragon is one of the most popular herbs our customers purchase for their home gardens. However, it can be a bit tricky to grow unless it has exactly the right conditions. As a rule, tarragon does not do well in dry locations with a great deal of summer heat. The ideal location would be partly shaded, well drained but somewhat moist in the heat of summer. Too much shade and dampness, however, can cause fungus problems. Consequently, the trick to successfully growing French tarragon is in providing a happy medium; neither too dry and hot, nor too shady and damp. However, once such a location is provided, the home gardener can expect to obtain many years of profuse fresh leaf production from her French tarragon plants.
